Kappa

Ingredients:

  • Kizhangu - 2
  • Turmeric - 1/4 TSP
  • Salt as needed
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Oil to tadka (2 TSP)
  • Mustard (1 TSP)



Preparation:

  • Remove skin of Kizhangu and cut it into small pieces
  • Put it in pressure cooker and pour water to just cover it
  • Add Turmeric and salt and mix it
  • Pressure cook it for 3 whistles
  • Put frying pan
  • Pour oil and add mustard
  • Add Kizhangu (after filter if there is extra water)
  • Add coconut
  • Mix well until it comes to the consistency which we wanted
  • Enjoy kappa with fish curry
